Abstract

This study, entitled Effect of organizational communication climate on the performance of employees of Public Relations (Public Relations Survey on the Provincial Government of DIY). Conducive organizational climate is essential for the progress of agencies, where subordinates feel free communication that takes place from top to bottom or vice versa, and this can create a harmonious relationship in the institution. This relationship is characterized by the open communication. Organizations can run well when in it there is trust, honesty, freedom of expression and give criticism. If the above are met and the performance of the agency will increase the company's goals will be achieved. The purpose of this study was to describe the influence of communication between organizational climate and employee performance. The theory is used as the basis in this study is the theory of organizational communication climate and the performance of employees, work in Pace and Faules Falcione and Bernardi and Russel. This study uses quantitative methods. The population in this study were all employees of the provincial government of DIY PR. The sample used is total sampling the entire Employee Relations, amounting to 30 respondents. According to the research and discussion to prove that hypothesis (Ho) is rejected or there is no organizational communication climate influence on the performance of Employee Relations and the Provincial Government of DIY (Ha) accepted that there are organizational communication climate influence on the performance of provincial government employees DIY PR or no correlation between the climate of the organization's communication DIY PR provincial government employee performance. The correlation table based on the guidelines Guilford, influence or correlation between the Climate Communications Employee Relations Organisation Performance Against Provincial Government of DIY can be seen from the correlation coefficient value of 0.378 sebasar located in the interval 0.20 to 0.40 are included in the category of low relationship.
