Abstract

Advertisement is the medium that has a persuasive impact very clearly for publics. Usually the advertisement is used to influence consumers to do what advertiser desire like "machine". Advertisement, Good Day version of "Inikah Rasanya Cinta", is the tool which is used by advertiser to keep the consumer loyalty and to get new consumers. This advertisement uses a common theme which is experienced by consumers like love, happiness, and friendship. Love specially is chosen to be the main theme because Love is a form of human actualization and love always is in all human and happens in people's lives. Love is the need of human basic for getting a harmonization lives and maintaining the continuity of human life. All human has love and all human has his own views on love. Love is subjective sense of human. Love can create the new things. Advertisement communicates with signs and symbols and that advertisement uses illustrative filled with advertiser's interests and the problem statement in this research is “how did the love concept of man to man in the advertisement, Good Day version of "Inikah Rasanya Cinta" that is analyzed by semiotic, Roland Barthes?” This research is qualitative research with descriptive approach and uses the method of the semiotic analysis, Roland Barthes. this analysis uses two step significations which seen from the appear signs (manifest content) and hidden signs (latent content) as denotative and connotative using to get the meaning of the signs in advertisement, Good Day version of "Inikah Rasanya Cinta" and in this research choosing scene 1 and scene 6 being main analysis because of those having relevancy with the main theme of the research. Results of the analysis about the concept of love, specially the love of man to man, in the advertisement, Good Day version of "Inikah Rasanya Cinta" basing on the signs found, explain that the love concept of man to man appearing is the affection love and the friendship love. The concept of affection love usually happens between the men and women who love each other deeply and closely and that love has the components of love such as intimacy, passion or commitment and the concept of friendship love is a relationship between two or more humans that are similar or not. This relationship is felt of the sense of warmth, attention, an intimate closeness, mutual understanding, respect and trust between one and the other. Components that appear in this relation only is intimacy without passion or commitment.
