Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe role of the library at SD Muhammadiyah Kadisoko Kalasan Sleman Yogyakarta as a learning resource . This function of this research is to provide an input and to be a trigger to increase role of the school library. This researh is a descriptive qualitative research. The methods of collecting data in this research is by using interviews, observations, and documentations. To analyze the ddata is by using the theory of Miles and conclusion. Testing the validity of data in this research includes the test of credibility (interbal validity). While testing the validity of the data in the study conducted by membercheck. The conclusion of the research “Role of the Library at SD Muhammadiyah Kadisoko Kalasan Sleman Yogyakarta as a learning resource” has fulfilled its functions as media or bridge between a resource of informations and its users, it also fulfills the needs of user by providing the required information for the public, it is as an instituation to develop interest in reading for the public, namely civitas SD Muhammadiyah Kadisoko Kalasan Sleman Yogyakarta, it is a facilitator, mediator and motivator for students who would like to develop their talents and their skills, it is as an instituations of nonformal education for the community, namely civitas SD Muhammadiyah Kadisoko Kalasan Sleman Yogyakarta. They are available to learn on independent (self-taught), it is also a research institute to explore, utilize and develope a resource of informations and knowledge. suggestions can be made, namely researchers: the need for additional budget funds, teachers should be actively motivate students to further increase reading, further enrich the library collection and facilities to be able to be a facilitator, mediator and motivator for students to develop the knowledge, conduct an evaluation of the need users to encourage students to learn independently.
