Abstract

Cancer is one of the most deadly diseases. Cancer comes from a single cell which is abnormal and uncontrollable. Cancer cells can destroy another cells and invase tissues in its patients’ body. Therefore, cancer treatment must be optimized so that it doesn’t caused any fatal effects to its patients. Chemotherapy is a method to kill and slowdown cancer’s growing by incorporating some chemical substances into patient’s body. Excessive and inappropiate doses of cancer chemotherapy can kill and destroy its surrounding cells and tissues, and caused some negative effects to its patients. Therefore, appropiate doses of cancer chemotherapy are very important for cancer treatment. Cancer treatment problem can be changed into mathematical model as an optimal problem with the optimal doses as its objective function. The optimal problem then would be transformed into Non Linear Programming (NLP) and solved using MATLAB toolbox, named DOTcvpSB version R2010_E4.
