Abstract
Research on policy digitizing this collection aims to determine the policies of digitizing the collection at the Library of Atma Jaya University and the suitability of the process of digitizing the collection at the Library of Atma Jaya University by standard Digital Library Federation (DLF). This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The method of collecting data using interviews, documentation and observation. Inductive data analysis is based on the theory by Miles and Huberman, by 1) data reduction, 2) Presentation of data, 3) Withdrawal Conclusion, and 4) Verification of data. The results of this study indicate that the application of the policy of digitizing the collection in the Library of the University of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs ) which includes the processing of digital library for e -books, the final project, research reports, papers, a collection of digital-based courses. The SOP contains general guidelines. It is found that digitalization of the library has not met the standards issued by the DLF (Digital Library Federation). Even though the library uses, it need to make a written policy that which has a theoretical base and base tries to find a good standardization.
