Abstract
The study aims to: (1) knowing the high citation journals in the writing of students Prodi Biology, Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta year 2009-2013 (2) knowing currency collection of journals cited in scription writing students Prodi Biology, Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Kalijaga year 2009-2013 (3) knowing the availability of a collection of journals cited in the scription writing students Prodi Biology in the Library UIN Sunan Kalijaga (4) knowing the language used in the citation of the journal in scription writing student Prodi Biology at Library UIN Sunan Kalijaga. This research is aquantitative descriptive essay with a population of 119. Data was collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis of data using citation analysis. The results showed that (1) There are 108 titles of scription (90.76%) which uses the literary journal, It can besaid to be a very high percentage of between 81-100%, And from 108 journal essay that uses the results showed that there were 800 journal articles and 501 journal titles cited (2) recency students cited journal Prodi Biology, Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Kalijaga the latest journal limitation aged 0-5 years results showed that 37.375%, equivalent to 299 citationis included in the Advanced category and was 62.625%, equivalent to 501 citations were classified in the category of journals that are not current. (3) availability of journals from the top ten frequencies citation journals most widely cited journals there are 3 that are already available in the Library UIN Sunan Kalijaga namely African Journal of Biotechnology, Indonesian Natur Journal, and Journal of Horticulture (4) English is the language most widely used in journals that reach 423 citations (52.42%), whereas for the Indonesian citation journals contained 384 citations (47.58%).
