Abstract

The aims of this research to determine the correlation between adversity quotient and achievement motivation. The subjects of this research were some students of eleventh grade in MA Ali Maksum Krapyak Yogyakarta. The whole subject of numbered 74 students. The sampling technique study using purposive sampling. This study uses quantitative methods. The data was collected by using scale achievement motivation and adversity quotient. Data analysis using the technique of Pearson 's correlation product moment with 13.00 SPSS for Windows . The results of this recearch indicate that there was a positive correlation adversity quotient and achievement motivation on students, with correlation coeficient (r) was positive at 0,737 with p = 0.000 (p<0,05) it means that hippothesis was accepted, effective contribution adversity quotient to achievement student shown with determinant coeficient 54,4 % the influence of adversity quotient to achievement motivation on students, while as many 45,6% is influence by other factor.
