Abstract

Has been on the identification of subsurface structure in the area of underground river Bribin, Semanu, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Present study is aimed to determine the anomalous magnetic field and find out the underground structures in the area of SBT (Underground River) Bribin. The area under investigations is located in the Semanu, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta at UTM coordinate of 464061 mT - 464929 mT and 9111097 mU - 9111970 mU. To achieve the aims, retrieving data using magnetic method with the tool Proton Precission Magnetometer (PPM) models Geotron G-5 using Looping method with 125 m spacing interval. Based on the research results, the distribution of magnetic field anomalies in the area of research produces a magnetic field of 385 nT until 450 nT. Subsurface structure of the 2D modeling is done using the Mag2dc software which can provide information in the form of Susceptibility 0.000 to 0.003 at a depth of 0 to ±85 meter is suspected to contain the type of soil, limestone sand white, brownish white limestone (sand size medium), grain size white limestone sand smooth, brownish-white limestone (size of fine sand), non or limestone, limestone yellowish brown. For Susceptibility - 0.001 up to -0.002 till at a depth of approximately ±46 to ±59 meters allegedly contain the kind of brownish white limestone ; and a depth of up to ±127 up to ±151 meters contain limestone or other non white yellowish. For Susceptibility -0.07 at a depth of approximately ±97 up to ±116 meter up allegedly contain limestone non white or yellowish. For the 0.004 Susceptibility is only found on the slice BB ' at a depth of ±11 to ±43 meter allegedly contain the kind of brownish white limestone ; as well as the depth of approximately ±108 to ±170 metres to allegedly contains a type of limestone or other non white yellowish massive fossil foram big hard. For Susceptibility 0.007 until 0.008 contained only at AA ' slice at a depth of approximately 170 metres up to ± 81 allegedly containing white or yellowish limestone non massive fossil foram big hard. Generally it provides information that a rock that dominates in the area of research are limestone with calcite mineral content.
