Abstract

This thesis entitled Development Management of Multiple Intelligences Students Sapen SD Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, a research study about models, management and results of the development of multiple intelligences of students who performed at SD Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Sapen. This study is essentially qualitative descriptive method. This study uses data collection methods participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study were determined by purposive sampling techniques and snowball sampling. Methods of analysis of the data collected is done by descriptive qualitative analysis, so the results can explain and describe the models, management, and results in the development of multiple intelligences Sapen SD Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The results showed that the model used to develop the multiple intelligences of learners in elementary Sapen Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is the model of the transition from the traditional model of the development of multiple intelligences to the ideal model of the development of multiple intelligences Gardner appropriate vision for SD Muhammadiyah Sapen still apply "uniform view" or "school uniforms "grouping example in the classroom and the special services program (Acceleration, CIMIPA). SD Muhammadiyah Sapen not use traditional patterns in developing intelligence to facilitate all aspects of intelligence but through a special class of service programs, extracurricular programs, intra, and varied learning. Management of Multiple Intelligences development programs in SD Muhammadiyah learners Sapen still grouped by interests and talents but already have organized staffs who manage those programs. The program includes the development of multiple intelligences special services program, personal development programs, and programs habituation. The development of multiple intelligences of learners SD Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Sapen produce students who excel in various championship events from the city level to the international level. In addition, the development of multiple intelligences is produce students who have the intelligence prevalent in eight aspects of multiple intelligences either already have or that a championship achievements have normal intelligence in that aspect.
