Abstract

Research have done in Pacitan subdistrict based on microtremor measurement. The research was aimed to determine ground shear strain value and microzonation of ground movement potential in Pacitan subdistrict in order to be used to minimize the risk caused by ground movement. Microtremor data were collected as many as 26 points with grid location 2 km and was done by using seismograph TDL 303S. The data were analyzed by using Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) method to get dominant frequency value and amplification factor in each measurement point. The result of the microtremor analysis was used to seismic vulnerability index (Kg) and ground shear strain. Calculation of the maximum ground vibration acceleration values was using Kanai empirical equations, the earthquake event in Banyuwangi on June 2nd, 1994 with earthquake magnitude as 7.8 SR and 18 km in depth. Result of ground shear strain values obtained from the seismic vulnerability index value and the maximum ground vibration acceleration value.Value of ground shear strain was known, the ground movement potential could be determined. The result showed that the value of ground shear strain ranged from 4.10-5 up to 6.10-4. Based on Microzonation map the ground movement potential in Pacitan subdistrict ground shear strain values ranging between 1.10-4 up to 6.10-4 indicated potential ground movement and crack ground decreation. Ground shear strain values ranging from 4.10-5 up to 8.10-5 indicated ground movement potential was wave vibration. Distribution of ground shear strain rate was relatively high ranging from 4.5 10-4 up to 6.10-4 spreading in areas of Widoro Village, Semanten Village and Nanggungan village, the crack tend to be occurred at Purworedjo village, Tamperan beach tend to be occured the ground decreation. The area to be warn was the northeast and southwest part of the Pacitan subdistrict because the area had relatively high ground shear strain rate.
