Abstract

The fungtions of the reggae music not only serves as a medium of entertainment and criticism but also as able to form social identity and the collection of fans who love this music. The reggae music has unique traits and characteristics that can distinguish themselves with other musicial genres. The reggae community not only have a social identity reggae but also have everything smells with reggae it was then called as Habitus. Social identity that carried by the Community Reggae Longharjo gives legitimacy to the existence of this community, a community that idolizes reggae music. Regardless of the Social Identity, KRL also have a good group management capabilities. Between each other mutually maintain solidarity and togetherness. Two things that are maintained with regard to Doxa which is then able to be the glue between members of KRL. From the above presentation that emerged following research questions. How to form the Community Social Identity Reggae Longharjo? and how the influence of doxa to this community? To answer these questions and concepts used habitus theory of Pierre Bourdieu doxa which saw KRL has Life style, teste, ekpectation and agents that operate in an arena that provide full support to the habitus owned by KRL. And Social Identity Theory of Henri Tajfel, which states that the social identity of KRL born able to categorize themselves as members of a neighborhood that has a different label. The method of data collection is done with the interview at the Reggae community members who met at basecamp Longharjo KRL Harjodowo located in the village. These should include observation method performed for approximately one month. Then the method of documentation. From this study indicate that the reggae music lovers get a lot of negative prejudices of the people around, they assume that reggae lovers are brutal, like drinking, drug use and does not have a purpose in life. The prejudice which later became one of the reasons this Longharjo Reggae community survive, because he wanted to straighten out the public perception that has misjudged reggae lovers. KRL were initially much reap the problem both from internal and external still trying to come together and keep their community solidarity. it is known as doxa has been able to become an integral tool among community members. S2B is used KRL doxa as potent jargon attract members to remain solid. In the end, this study seeks to describe one of reggae music lovers who are members of KRL, so that people know how everyday reggae lovers so slowly that there is a negative bias may fade.
