Abstract

Users are stakeholders who have a major influence on the success of a system. The development of technology encourage Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University to develop a new online student registration system, which is oriented in user as stakeholders. Admission system manages online registration for new students. It needs to analyze the efficiency and reusability of this system to determine the reach of the system utilization. Therefore, the research was being conducted to determine the value of usability and efficiency based on the McCall theory. The study took 50 respondents as sample of students class of year 2014. Those 50 respondents are student who passed regular path of new student admission written test held by the Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University. To find the problems to be studied and to collect the initial data, a mini survey and interview to 20 respondents was done. Usability percentage was analyzed from a questionnaire with 10 statements on a Likert Scale. Analysis results obtained from efficiency factor test was equal to 23,04%±0,75% of the accumulated results of Conciseness analysis by 1.04% ± 0.24%, Execution Efficiency by 0.08% ± 0.01% and Operability by 68%±2%. While, usability factor test got a 68%±2% of percentage value. The results showed the level of efficiency system is efficient, and the system reusability entered in good categories. The validity test of the questionnnaire showed 9 items was valid and the reliability test of the questionnnaire showed that the questionnaire was reliable and trustworthy.
