Abstract
The arrest of Deputy Chairman of the Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) Bambang Widjojanto is a hotly debated issue by the public. The arrestment get responses from people who think that this case is part of the conflict between the two institutions, namely KPK and POLRI. Allegation of violations committed by the Polri in the arrestment of Bambang Widjojanto become an important news material. In this regard, the media have an important role in providing information to the audience related to Bambang Widjojanto’s arrestment. The speed of information delivery becomes the main on the internet nowadays. Tempo.co and Mediaindonesia.com are both online conventional media which heavily repots the arrestment of Bambang Widjojanto. Both present the news media in accordance with the respective point of view on each. This study aims to determine the frame presented by Tempo.co and Mediaindonesia.com in relation to the arrestment of Bambang Widjojanto. the analysis method used in this research are Pan’s framing and Kosicki models. Result from this study indicated that the frame of Tempo.co related to the arrestment of Bambang Wijojanto is inclined towards Bambang Widjojanto, while Mediaindonesia.com is inclined towards the Polri. Both media are ignoring neutrality and objective reporting.
