Abstract

This research aims to know student’s perception of service quality in University Library of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. LibQual method by Endang Fatmawati is used to measure the quality service with four dimensions. (1) The ability and attitude of librarians in serving (Service Affect), (2) Facilities and atmosphere of a library room (Library as Place), (3)Guidance and means of access (Personal Control), (4). Access to Information (Information Access). This research is descriptive quantitative research. The sample in this research amounted to 93 respondents, the sampling technique used incidental sampling. The data collection techniques with questionnaire, interview, observation, and documentation. Validity and reliability using the formula Product Moment correlation and Alpha Cronbach. Data analysis using formulas Mean and Grand Mean. The results of each sub-variables are the student’s perception of ability and attitude of librarians in serving (Service Affect) as many as 3.04 can be categorized as good; student’s perception of the facilities and atmosphere of a library room (Library as Place) as many as2.65 can be categorized as good; students’ perceptions of the guidance and means of access (Personal Control) as many as 2.71 can be categorized as good; and the student’s perception of access to information (Information Access) as many as 2.77 can be categorized as good. Based on the overall value of the average of the four sub-variables using the formula Mean and Grand Mean obtained as many as 2.79 and can be categorized as good. So the result can be seen that, student’s perception of the quality of service at the University Library of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta based on usingformula Interval Scale was quite good. So it can be said that due to the avaliable quality of in UST library which has been good according to student’s perception.
