Abstract

This research intens on knowing the: (1) difference of cognitive and affective learning outcomes among students who following REACT learning model and students following the model of expository (2) effectiveness of the learning model REACT to improve cognitive learning outcomes of students. (3) affective learning outcomes of students who following REACT learning model. The research is a kuasi ekspeimen and used simple random sampling. The research instrument used in the research was a test and observation. The data analysis technique used the statistical parametric t test, nonparametric statistics that Mann Whitney test and normalized gain (N-Gain). For analysis of observation with affective classification. The results of this research are : (1) There is no difference in cognitive achievement between students who take the REACT model of learning with students who follow expository. Cognitive learning outcomes evidenced by sig. amounting to 0.091. There are differences in affective learning outcomes among students who take the REACT model of learning with students who follow expository. Affective learning outcomes evidenced by sig. 0.04. (2) the cognitive learning seen from the average Ngain experimental class was 0,365 in the medium category and for the control class is 0,317 in the medium category with the effect size of 0.41 (medium effect). (3) affective learning outcomes seen from the observation of the accumulated score of 3,49 in classification very good.
