Abstract

Agriculture is a sector that has a strategic role in the Temanggung District. Agricultural commodities produced Temanggung District has a variety of different potential in each sub-district. The implementation of technology applications in various fields continues to be done, not least in the agricultural sector. Planning and data management of agricultural commodities at Temanggung District still conventional by use paper documents as well as analog maps to show the distribution of agricultural commodities. This poses a problem for the general public as well as the department of agriculture in accessing existing agricultural commodities mapping. Another obstacle that agriculture department has is still difficulty in identifying potential agricultural commodities in each sub-district. To overcome these problems required a digital map based Geographic Information System based on Web who is more effective in providing spatial information and also non spatial information from agricultural commodities in temanggung District. The system can also display forecasting agricultural data from previous years data with using a single exponential smoothing method that is included in times series forecasting. System development method used in the manufacture of this system is the Waterfall method. GIS is built using Digitization software Quantum GIS, leaflets, and the MySQL database, as well as the map is displayed using GeoServer. Based on the rating scale that has been calculated, the majority of respondents stated that the system is running well, especially on forecasting features where its performance has been running perfectly in accordance with the draft that was made before. Results of testing the functionality of the system admin and user at 100%, testing of usability admin system amounted to 83.33% , and testing of usability user system amounted to 86% which its respondent data derived from the general public in temanggung district.
