Abstract

Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil is an Islamic financial institution in the form of cooperatives, but this institution uses the principle of sharia. while conventional cooperative using principle of interest. Some of the problems faced by BMT is the number of allegations stating that BMT is merely conventional cooperative plus frills sharia and the low of people knowledge. The purpose of this study was to analysis the description of fisherman knowledge and decision as a member of Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT). To determine the effect of fisherman knowledge partially on decisions as a member of Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT). To determine the effect of consumer knowledge simultaneously on decision as customer saving. To determine the dominant variables that influence fisherman knowledge on the decision as a member of Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT). Based on the purpose, this study belong to explanation and associative research, data analysis method used in this research is the multiple linear regression analysis. To deploy questionnaires to 36 peoples, this study used a survey technique Referring to the results of data analysis, there are four conclusions as follows. First, the fisherman have a high level of product knowledge, have a sufficient level of purchase knowledge, have a high level of use knowledge, and have a high level of purchasing decisions. Second, there is a significant positive partially effect between product knowledge, purchase knowledge, and use knowledge on the decision as a member of Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT). Third, there is a significant positive simultaneously effect between fisherman knowledge (based on product knowledge, purchase, and usage) on the decisions as a member of Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT). Fourth, The dominant variable of consumer knowledge that influence on the decision as a member of Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT) is product knowledge
