Abstract

The success of a company relies on the resources in it. Employees who have the ability, skills, and motivation in the work will meet its goals and objectives. This research aims to analyze factors that affect employee motivation to perform in Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Office in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Methodologically, several factors such as education and training programs, career development, discipline, recruitment and emotional intelligence, in this study serve as independent variables. While the dependent variable is employee motivation. By basing on the quantitative research procedures,the extraction of thedata in this study uses 50 distributed questionnaires. In addition, to confirm the derived data from questionnaires, this research uses interview techniques that aim to confirm the data. The results of this research indicates that the factors which positively and significantly influenceto the motivation of employees working at Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Office Bantul Yogyakarta are the variables of education and training programs, career development and discipline. It is depended on the means of adequate facilities and fulfillment of the rights and obligations of the employees. The factors of recruitment and emotional intelligence in this research tend to be significantly negative. The behavior of the employees who pay less attention to the rules and less dynamic spirituality work also affect the value of the significant negative.
