Abstract

This research discusses about marketing communications strategy to increase visiting tourists of Karst Museum Indonesian, this research focused on guide of museum as a research subject. In the last view years, the number of Karst Museum Indonesian visitors was increased. Guide of museum as officers has be done with some of marketing communications strategy. This research used a descriptive qualitative methode, and data collection techniques are: interview, observation and documentations. The theory that used such as theory of strategy, marketing communication includes : advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, event organizer, public relations, direct marketing, word of mouth (WOM), and cyber marketing and definition of tourism. The results of these researches that the Karst Museum Indonesian has done to do some forms of marketing communication strategy for increasing the museum visitors, including uses of advertising media with booklet and using electronic media through social media and email. Promoting to all potential visitors and tour agent and tour leader were helping this museum. Making event and seminars in the schools, and someplace that potential. Making a media relations when covered by journalist of national television. Direct marketing to all the students and teachers about geography and communities that interested in the museum karst. And then word of mouth to all layers of people and all stakeholders such as the tour agents and tour leaders. The last form, museum has been doing marketing through the internet with social media such as, Facebook, Instagram, website and email. These forms of marketing communication strategy was able to increase visitors of Karst Museum Indonesian.
