Abstract

Yogyakarta Special Region is one of cities that known as tours city and also a city of education. One of the largest Gross Regional Domestic Product receipts is from the tourism sector. Much of destinations become the sixth favorite destination in Indonesia. Gross Regional Domestic Product as a local income that can reflect the regional economy condition. Bigger Gross Regional Domestic Product shows that the local economy is getting better. This study aims to determine how the influence of the tourism sector to the Gross Regional Domestic Products of Yogyakarta Special Region which can be seen from the number of tourist visits, hotel taxes, restaurant taxes, and entertainment tax. This is a quantitative research. Data used is the crossection form in 5 districts and use time series for eight years, from 2008-2015. The used data were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Regional Financial Management and Asset Agency of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The method used is the analysis of panel data regression analysis fixed effect models. The results showed that all research variables simultaneously affect the Gross Regional Domestic Product. Partially variable of sum tourist arrivals, hotel tax and restaurant tax positive and significant impact on the Gross Domestic Product, while the entertainment tax and significant negative effect on the Gross Domestic Product in Yogyakarta.
