Abstract

The ease of technology to find reading material on the internet affects the quantity of library visitors. Many readers are reasoned to read reading material on the internet is easier than having to visit the library. For some people who rarely visit the library, looking for reading materials in the library sometimes difficult. Visitors should ask the librarian if the trouble is come when finding a book. The facilities provided by the library have not been able to increase the interest of visitors to prefer to find reading material in the library rather than on the internet. So this study was made with the purpose to facilitate library visitors to search a books in the library. Based on existing problems, it can be developed a book navigation application to facilitate visitors in finding the desired book. Applications built on the Android operating system using support from iBeacon technology. In the research that has been done can be concluded that the application of book navigation using iBeacon can help library visitors in searching book easily. Application is divided into two types: application manager used for admin in managing navigation features and client applications used for library visitors in navigating books.
