Abstract

The dominance of conventional banking in the segment of market share in all types of banking products, especially in financing products would be able to hamper the growth of sharia banking. Similarly, the coming of the Era of ASEAN Economic Community is also increasingly becoming a challenge for sharia banking. This is not only happening at the national level but also at the regional level. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an assessment of the various factors that can affect it especially on macroeconomic factors so that these factors can be optimized to encourage the increase in the volume of Islamic finance. This study aims to determine how the influence of macroeconomic factors in the form of conventional bank lending rates, inflation rate, and the level of gross regional domestic product to sharia murabahah financing in Yogyakarta. The independent variables in this study consist of conventional bank lending rate (X1), inflation (X2), and gross regional domestic product (X3). While the dependent variable is the nominal of murabahah financing of sharia banking in Yogyakarta (Y). The object or sample of this research is all Islamic Rural Banks in Province D.I. Yogyakarta. The source of this research data is obtained from the website of Bank Indonesia, the site of the Central Bureau of Statistics, and the site of the Financial Services Authority. The data used in this study is quarterly data for the period of 2009until 2016. The the data is analyzed by using multiple regression, partial test, and simultaneous test, through software SPSS Version 22. The results of this study indicate that the conventional bank lending rate partially positively but not significantly to the nominal amount of sharia murabahah financing in Yogyakarta, the inflation rate is partially positively but not significantly to the nominal amount of sharia murabahah financing in Yogyakarta, and the gross regional domestic product partially positively and significantly affects to the nominal amount of sharia murabahah financing in Yogyakarta, as well as the conventional bank lending rate, inflation rate and the level of gross regional domestic product simultaneously have a positively and significantly influence on the nominal amount of sharia murabahah financing in Yogyakarta.
