Abstract

Companies that implement policies, financial leverage will increase the value of corporate debt is concerned, which means that the company must bear the cost of capital and financial risks are high. With the company's financial leverage is expected to increase productivity, so the return on equity and earning per share will also rise. ROE and EPS will be increasingly attractive to investors and potential investors in the context of the dividend that will be distributed by the company. This study aimed to analyze the effect of financial leverage on Return On Equity (ROE) and Earning Per Share (EPS) at the companies included in the Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI). Objects in this study are all companies included in the Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI) with sampling through certain kriteris. The data used are annual financial reports of companies that go through the website ISSI 2014-2015 www.idx.go.id. Data processing method used is the panel data regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that financial leverage positive effect on Return On Equity (ROE), while financial leverage on Earning Per Share (EPS) of negative influence
