Abstract

This research was conducted in Library of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Sleman which addressed at Tajem Maguwoharjo Higway, Depok, Sleman. The formulation of the problem of this research is how the level of fiction books usenes in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Sleman Library, while the purpose of this study is to determine the level of the fiction books usenes in the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Sleman Library. This research uses quantitative method, that is by collecting the fiction books according to the number of samples that have been set and present it into the table and count the percentage of the number of fiction collections used or not. The instrument used in this research is checklist. Method of data collection research using documentation, observation and interviews. The population in this study amounted to 824 titles while the sample in this study amounted to 269 titles. This result of this research shows that the level of fiction collection usenes in the Library of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Sleman that the number of percentage as much as 34,57 %, entered in the interval ,00% - 49,99% = Almost half, almost half of fiction books used. While the result of the percentage of unused fiction books number as much as 65,42%, entered in interval 50,01% - 74,99% = mostly, that is meaning most of fiction book is not used, Penelitian ini dilakukan di Perpustakan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Sleman yang beralamatkan di Jalan Raya Tajem Maguwoharjo, Depok, Sleman. rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana tingkat keterpakaian koleksi fiksi di Perpustakaan Madrasah Aliyah 2 Sleman, sedangkan tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat keterpakaian koleksi fiksi di Perpustakaan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Sleman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, yaitu dengan mendata koleksi buku fiksi sesuai jumlah sampel yang telah ditetapkan lalu menyajikannya ke dalam tabel dan menhitung prosentase jumlah koleksi fiksi yang terpakai maupun tidak. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu checklist. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 824 judul sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 269 judul. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tingkat keterpakaian koleksi fiksi di Perpustakaan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Sleman yaitu prosentase angka keterpakaian koleksi fiksi sebanyak 34,57 % masuk dalam interval 25,00% - 49,99% = hampir setengahnya, artinya hampir setengahnya koleksi buku fiksi terpakai. Sedangkan hasil prosentase angka koleksi fiksi yang tidak terpakai sebanyak 65,42 % maka masuk dalam interval 50,01% - 74,99% = sebagian besar, artinya sebagian besar koleksi buku fiksi tidak terpakai.
