Abstract

The restaurant represents an industry engaged in processing, serving of readyto- eat foods and people can eat at that place. The Tourism Department of Yogyakarta recorded that there are 835 restaurants in Yogyakarta. The problem appears when there are a lot of restaurants serves various menu for customers. Based on the survei in the past, it can be concluded that 88% Yogyakarta resident have experienced difficulties in determining the restaurant. Therefore, they are needed a system which not only provide information but also able to give recommendation restaurant based on the parameters consider by user. The recommended method that can be used is fuzzy Tahani database model. This method allows the handling of data naturally by following human mind. The parameters that used according to the price of food, the distance, the size of place and the facilities of the restaurant. The result of recommendation restaurant based on the value of membership or fire strength, then the result of recommendation will be sorted from highest fire strength to lowest. As the result of case experiment which have been done by manual calculation and system calculation shows the same result or 100% accurate. The Differences in the fuzzy set of each user will provide a different recommendation value between one user and others. Overall, the developing system is able to provide a recommendation restaurant to the citizen.
