Abstract

Research prototype of controller system in solar cell’s movement using RTC DS1307 and microcontroller Ardiuno Uno was finished. This research aims to build solar cell’s movement controller system with RTC DS1307 which can control solar cell’s surface is perpendicular with sunlight using one degree of freedom, determine power enhancement percentage which is generated by dynamic solar cells and static solar cell. Research was held in four stages: determination sunlight’s angle, build prototype, prototype trials, and analyze data based on prototype trials. Result shows power output from dynamic solar cell is higher than static solar cells with average 20%. Keywords: Ardiuno Uno, RTC DS1307, Solar cells [INDONESIA] Penelitian prototipe sistem kendali penggerak solar cell berbasis RTC DS1307 dan mikrokontroler arduino uno telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat sistem kendali penggerak solar cell berbasis RTC DS1307 agar kemiringan permukaan solar cell tegak lurus terhadap sinar matahari dengan satu derajat kebebasan, menentukan persentase penambahan daya yang dihasilkan oleh solar cell dinamis dari solar cell statis. Prosedur penelitian ini dilakukan dalam empat tahapan : penentuan sudut pergerakan sinar matahari, pembuatan prototipe sistem kendali penggerak solar cell, uji coba prototipe sistem kendali dan pengolahan data hasil uji coba prototipe sistem kendali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data keluaran solar cell dinamis menghasilkan daya keluaran lebih besar daripada solar cell statis dengan daya keluaran rata-rata adalah 20%.
