Abstract

This study discusses the user’s perception of the book collection quality in Laboratory Library of Faculty Culture and Lecture UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakrta. This study aims to determine how the user’s perception of the quality collection library in Laboratory Library of Faculty Culture and Lecture UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The population in this study is an active member from 2012-2016 of Laboratory Library Faculty Culture and Lecture UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Student with sapling techniques using Yamane formula and with a population of as many as 1638 people obtained a sample of 94 respondents. Techniques used in the sampling technique is simple sampling incidental . This study included type of descriptive research with quantitative descriptive appoarch. Data collection using observation, questionneires, interview, and documentation. Test validity using product moment formula and reliability testing using cronbach alpha formula. For the calculation of validity and reliability testing using SPSS 23 version for windows. Analysis of the data using formula and grand mean with interval scale, based on calculations using the grand mean of all Subvariable, the calculated valve obtained by an average of 2,32. The proceeds from the interval analysis indicates that the user’s percepstion that the user’s perception of the quality collection in Laboratory Library of Faculty Culture and Lecture UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakrta bynot good categorized, the study is expected to provide input in Laboratory Library of Faculty Culture and Lecture UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakrta to further improve he quality library collection to meet the greatest needs of library user’s.
