Abstract

This study attempted to use electric charges to build a wormhole that was different from the Schwarzschild wormhole, called the Reissner-Nordström wormhole. The effect of electric charges on the wormhole can be known by embedding in R3 and analyzing how this wormhole evolves over time. This research is computationtheoretical research. The theoretical calculations are performed by presenting coordinate transformations to remove coordinate singularities in the Reissner- Nordström metric and embed it in R3. The computation is done using MATLAB R2009a software which includes finding numerical solution of the equations and make a simulation using GUI facility. The results of this study show that electric charges, either positive and negative charges, make the wormhole more stable. But the presence of electric charges also makes the radius of the wormhole smaller.
