Abstract

This thesis entitled "The Influence of Organizational Culture, Leadership Style and Job Satisfaction of Librarian at Library University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta". In a library organization requires a strong organizational culture, transformational leadership style, and a strong job satisfaction to improve the performance of librarians. This research aims to know (1) Organizational culture in the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. (2) Transformational leadership style at the University Library of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. (3) The level of job satisfaction librarian at the Library of the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. (4) Know the performance of librarians. (5) The influence of organizational culture on the performance of librarians, (6) the influence of transformational leadership style on performance. (7) The influence of job satisfaction on the performance of librarians. (8) Influence of organizational culture, transformational leadership style and job satisfaction together to the performance of librarians at the Library of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is quantitative research. Populations taken for this research is 21 librarian. The variables in this study consisted of the independent variable (X1) is the organizational culture. (X2) Transformational Leadership Style, (X3) Job Satisfaction and the dependent variable (Y) is the performance of the librarian. data collection methods with questionnaires, observation and documentation. Testing of research instrument with validity and reliability. Method of analysis with descriptive analysis method, simple regression, and multiple regression. The results of this research indicate that (1) Organizational Culture in the Library University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is good, with an average value of 3.18. (2) The Transformational Leadership Style in Muhammadiyah University Library of Yogyakarta is good, with an average value of 3.14. (3) Job Satisfaction at Library of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta is high, with an average value of 3.15. (4) Librarian Performance at Muhammadiyah University Library is good, with average value 3,11. (5) Organizational Culture Influence with value of determination coefficient equal to 61,9%. (6) The transfomational leadership effect on performance with coefficient value of 45.3%. (7) Job satisfaction influence to performance with coefficient of determination value 50,9%. (8) An organizational culture, transformational leadership style and job satisfaction simultaneously affect the performance of the value of coefficient of determination of 74.3%. Furthermore, the suggestion based on the results of this study is that the Library of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta needs to improve the organizational culture especially to improve stability, to increase the transformational leadership style especially intellectual stimulation, to increase job satisfaction especially on the appropriate wage or salary and to increase the responsibility on the performance.
