Abstract
This research is aimed to shed a light on the plagiarism level in bachelor‟s theses at the Undergaduate Program of Library Science Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta 2016-2017. This constitutes a mixed-methods sequential explanatory study, with bachelor‟s theses at the Undergraduate Program of Library Science Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University 2016-2017 as the research subject and the research object is plagiarism. The population in this research is 159 copies of bachelor‟s theses at the Undergraduate Program of Library Science Yogyakarta 2016-2017. Determination of the sampel in this study using Slovin formula, with the result of 30 samples. The sampling technique in this research is proportionate stratified random sampling. In this research, Plagiarism Checker X version 6.0.6 is used as the instrument for quantitative research and the instrument for qualitative research is the researcher. The finding is that the plagiarism level in bachelor‟s theses at the Undergraduate Program of Library Science Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University from 2016 to 2017 reaches 31% in average, exceeding the maximum percentage of plagiarism in a bachelor‟s thesis, which is 25%. Therefore, it is essential that the institution procure plagiarism checker software to minimize any plagiarism committed by students or academic members
