Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interest rates, the amount of money in circulation, the number of offices, and the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) on mudarabah deposits in Islamic Banks in Indonesia for the period 2013-2017. The analysis uses independent variables namely interest rates, the amount of money in circulation, the number of Sharia Banks (BUS) offices and Sharia Business Units (UUS), and the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). The dependent variable is mudarabah deposits in BUS and UUS for the 2013-2017 period. The sample of this study is Sharia Commercial Banks and Sharia Business Units that are actively registered with Bank Indonesia during the 2013-2017 period and shares in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) which are actively registered in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2013- 2017 period. Sampling in this study uses purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis with the method of Ordinary Least Square (OLS) using Eviews 9 software, to determine the effect of variable X on Y. The results of this study indicate that variable interest rates have a negative and significant effect on mudarabah deposits in Islamic Commercial Banks and Sharia Business Units in Indonesia for the 2013-2017 period. Variables in the amount of money in circulation and the variable number of offices have a positive and insignificant effect on mudarabah deposits in Sharia Commercial Banks and Sharia Business Units in Indonesia for the period 2013-2017. The Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) variable has a positive and significant effect on mudarabah deposits in Islamic Commercial Banks and Sharia Business Units in Indonesia for the 2013-2017 period.
