Abstract
The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze the efficiency score of sharia insurance companies in Indonesia, and the influence of efficiency score to the probability of each company from 2014 to 2017. The population used in this study are the entire sharia insurance exist in Indonesia. Purposive sampling method is used in determining the sample of the sudy which then obtained 13 companies to be analyzed. The research data was taken from the annual .financial statements that uploaded on the website of each company. The methods of data analysis used by researcher is Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SF A) with help of software frontier 4.1 to measure the efficiency score and the regression of panel data with help of software E-views 9 to analyze the influence of efficiency to the profitability ratio. The result of the study showed that the efficiency score of sharia insurance in Indonesia from 2014 to 2017 volatile. Based on the result of the panel data regression test it's known that efficiency does not affect return on investment (ROI). While the result of the panel data regression test significantly influence return on equity (ROE).
