Abstract

Library University of Indonesia. Thesis Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies Studies Program Concentration of Library Science and Information, Postgraduate UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, 2018. This research is a test of the influence of interpersonal communication of librarian to the satisfaction of user in library of university of indonesia. The purpose of this research is to know the influence between the influence of interpersonal communication of librarian (x) to satisfaction pemustaka (y). The measuring tool used in this research is based on the theory of Joseph a Devito & Fandy Tjiptono, Endang Fatmawati. This type of research is quantitative. This research use accidental sampling sampling technique with sample number 394 responden, from 28,604 user people. Data collection techniques used questionnaires. Data analysis using simple regression technique with the help of spss version 21.0 for windows. Based on the result of the test of descriptive analysis using the mean and grand mean formula, the result of interpersonal communication with the average value of 3.05 is categorized well. While the satisfaction user with an average value of 3.24 is categorized well. The result of product moment correlation test, that the correlation coefficient of interpersonal communication correlation (x) and the satisfaction of pemustaka (y) get the result of 0.821, at the coefficient interval between 0,80 - 1,000 shows very strong influence, where the relationship direction is positive because the value r indicates a positive number. The simple regression results for the variables (x) and the variables (y) y = 18.664 + 0.769 x and r squre 0.821 mean that the effect of interpersonal communication to the satisfaction of pemustaka is 6.74%. Other factors beyond this study amounted to 32.6%. The conclusion is that there is influence of interpersonal communication of librarian to satisfaction of user in library of University of Indonesia.
