Abstract

This study aims to answer three important questions, that is 1) to find out the form of social relations between students of different religions in SD Negeri Demangan Yogyakarta 2) to determine the factors that influence social relations between students of different religions in SD Negeri Demangan Yogyakarta 3) to find out the teacher's strategies in learning, based on the form of social relations between students of different religions in SD Negeri Demangan Yogyakarta. This type of research is qualitative, using the phenomenology approach. Data collection techniques are through observations, interviews and documentations. Data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data, and concluding data. The results of this study are First, the form of social relations between students in SD Negeri Demangan Yogyakarta is divided into associative and dissociative forms. Associative forms include group works, group discussions, extracurricular activities such as scout and pencak silat. While dissociative forms include competition in terms of academics and disputes that exist both inside and outside the classroom. Second, the factors that affect the occurrence of social relations between students of different religions in SD Negeri Demangan Yogyakarta are the social environment, the provision of religiosity subjects, and the occurrence of the goals of each student in the social relations process. As for obstacles that affect the occurrence of social relations between students of different religions in SD Negeri Demangan Yogyakarta, is not caused by the differences between religions, but differences in individual attitudes in each student instead. These obstacles include differences in student attitudes in working on joint assignments, students who have difficulty getting along and physical conflicts between students. Third, teacher's strategies in learning based on the form of social relations between students of different religions in SD Negeri Demangan Yogyakarta, that is in overcoming the obstacles that occur in the school environment both in the classroom when the lesson takes place and outside the lesson hours, teachers always play an important role in overcoming conflicts or obstacles that occur for example looking for information or a cause that is the source of the occurrence of a conflict that occurs in these students, advising, giving penalties in the form of student guardian calls or in the form of suspension.
