Abstract

This study aims to build a system for selecting the best employees using the Weighted Product method. To support better performance for employees at the Barito Indah wood warehouse every month the selection of the best employees is always held. In the selection of the best employees at Barito Indah Warehouse, there are several conditions for the criteria that have been made and become the benchmark for selecting the best employees. Weighted product method is a method of decision making using multiplication to connect the criteria value, where the value for each criterion must be raised first by the corresponding criteria weight (Monica et al, 2015). This decision support system is a tool that can provide solutions and help the admin in the process of selecting computerized employees to be more effective and efficient. From calculations using the weight product method employees can know the best of alternatives in a company. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the application of the Weighted Product method in selecting the best employees gives the same results between the results of testing on the system with the results of manual calculations. Then based on the results of the functional testing of the system and the interface carried out by 20 respondents showed that 99.5% stated that the functional system was running well. While the results of the interface testing stated that 14% strongly agreed, 82% agreed and 4% neutral.
