Abstract

The research is aim to know the suitability between the android-based digital library application STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta and the library user’s needs in accomplishing their academic task with Task Technology Fit (TTF) Model. The kind of this research is quantitative descriptive with the library users of STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta that use the android-based digital library as the subject of the research. The object of this research is the the suitability between technology and the academic task of the library users. The data collecting technique of this reasearch are questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation. The population of this research are the library members that use the android-based digital library in STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta. The researcher take the sample from the population based on the slovin formula and obtain 95 samples from all of the library users. The sampling technique that is used is the sample random sampling. The variable of this research is single variable which is the suitability between the needs in completing libary user's academic tasks and the android-based digital libary application STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta using Task Technology Fit model in STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta Library. The evaluation of the suitability between the Task Technology Fit (TTF) model consists of five sub variable; they are Task characteristic, Particular system used department, Task Technology Fit, Utilization and Performance Impact. Based on the data analysis result about the suitability between the android-based digital library and the accomplishing academic task of the library members in STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta using Task Technology Fit model resulted the total average value is 3,07. Based on the interval scale that is used, the suitability between the android-based digital library application and the accomplishing of library member's academic task in STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta is categorized as good. Researcher suggest STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta to make more promotion about the android digital library STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta to increase the literation skill of the library members.
