Abstract

In this research, the aim is to find out whether there is an influence of the reference group, financial literacy, and public perceptions of saving interest in Islamic banks and whether the role of religiosity can moderate the reference group, financial literacy, and perception. The object of this research is to focus on online motorcycle taxi drivers in Yogyakarta. Sources of data in this study were obtained from primary data. The population in this research is the people in Yogyakarta who work as online motorcycle taxi drivers. In Yogyakarta alone, online motorcycle taxi drivers have around 1500 people. While the sampling technique used by researchers is incidental sampling. Incidental sampling is a sampling technique based on coincidence, the sample used in this study is an online motorcycle taxi driver in Yogyakarta. researchers will distribute questionnaires to online motorcycle taxi drivers in Yogyakarta with 97 respondents. The results of this study are that the reference group has no influence on saving interest, financial literacy has no influence on saving interest, and perception has a positive influence on saving interest. With the moderation of the religiosity of the reference group variable, financial literacy, and public perception, it does not affect the interest in saving at an Islamic bank in Yogyakarta. The variable of religiosity itself has a debilitating role of moderation on other variables. That is because there is still a lack of awareness of online motorcycle taxi drivers in saving on Islamic banking, and there is still a lack of socialization from Islamic banks themselves or from the government.
