Abstract

Communication as sciences has developed to the point of intersecting with Islamic concepts. This intersection gave birth to a new concept of communication where preaching is the main foundation. With this concept of preaching, communication is required to contain divine values in every word and speech. Kuntowijoyo introduced the science of communication that intersects with the concept of Islam which he calls prophetic communication, namely communication which is built on three foundations. First, that communication must contain the values of humanization (amar ma'ruf), liberation (nahi munkar) and transcendence (amantu billah). This type of research is descriptive qualitative which seeks to explain, interpret, analyze and conclude systematically, factually, objectively and accurately about the primary ideas as the object of research. The theoretical basis used in this study is the theory of Humanization, Liberation, Transcendence which was improved by Kuntowijoyo, as one of the bases of the approach to clarify how prophetic values are communicated through Wahsyi's drama script. Then, to find more relevant data to the study of the object above, in addition to using theory, this research was strengthened by using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study show that the Wahsyi drama script intrinsically contains many prophetic values as seen in characterizations, story plots and the theme of the text. In addition, the researchers also found a relation between Wahsyi's drama script and Kuntowijoyo's prophetic idea of Humanization, Liberation, and Transcendence. Meanwhile, extrinsically the researchers concluded that the Wahsyi drama script which had been performed by the Eska Theater and the ideas built by Kuntowijoyo, have a relations which became a bridge to see and read the reality of our society today and even indirectly, the researchers saw Wahsyi's drama script is like a social reality wrapped up through a performance.
