Abstract

Institute for Islamic and Peace Studies (LAKIP) gave information about provides an overview that strengthens of the allegations of radicalization among young people, especially middle and high school students in the Jabotabek area (Jakarta, Bogor, Tanggerang, Bekasi) giving indications of the radical actions that they support and are brave to do as part of jihad. They seem to get extensive support from young people in junior and senior high school and peers. Based on these things, it is necessary to do research about radicalism through education. Radicalism research through education can be done by reviewing the education curriculum to develop knowledges and to know the anti-radicalism attitudes and actions of this religion. The curriculum includes learning strategies, learning purpose, learning materials and so on. Learning materials can be presented through the media, one of which is textbooks or teaching materials. Radical understanding can "slip" in one of the PAI textbooks. So from that it is urge to hold a reviewing of PAI teaching books. In this case the book that has been reviewed is a Aqida, Akhlak and Fiqh textbook. This qualitative research was done by library research methods. The approach that has been used in this study is a holistic approach, all factors, in this case all parts of the textbook are taken into account in this study. Data collection is done by the documentation method. Analysis was carried out by the content analysis method (content analysis). The results showed that generally in the Akidah Akhlak’s textbook was in coresponding with KI (core competence) and KD (basic competence) but there was a lack in the Fikih’s textbook about substance and picture with KD. Based on existence of radicalis conjecture, did not have any elements of radicalism in either the Akidah Akhlak or Fikih textbook, in fact in these two books there was an attempt to deradicalise. They are instilment tolerance values and also the value of multicultural education.
