Abstract

The background of this research was originated from the author's view on the importance of institutions in improving the quality of education in order to conform to the current era. Talk to the institution will then be boiled down to a model of leadership in the institution. Because the quality of the institution is influenced by how the institution is headed. Leadership is expected to provide the institution able to answer times. First to face the era of industrial revolution 4.0 The goal of the research is to provide an overview of the leadership model is oriented at improving the quality of education in madrasah. As for this research is the kind of qualitative research, MAN 2 Kebumen which is the Islamic State institution in Kebumen. Method of data collection i.e. observation, documentation, and interviews. The analysis of the data by selecting and compiling the data retrieved, and then processed and analyzed so that the conclusion can be drawn. An examination of the validity of the data is performed using the traingulasi technique. The results of this research show that: first, the Model leadership teamwork at MAN 2 Kebumen is the philosophy of the priest prayer worshipers is manifested in the form of collaboration between the charismatic and democratic leadership. Charismatic with emphasis on examples of commands, such as imams who is in front of the people. with instilling discipline and responsibility on the code of conduct and rules already agreed upon together. With democratic emphasis on honesty in work are implemented with openness to problems existing in the environment of the madrasa, accept the idea of openness and criticism from educators and educational personnel, and carefully on each policy and in establishing good communication. Second, educational enhancement in Kebumen MAN 2 on era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in leadership of the head of the madrasa of the best principles put forward for a child, the motto inscribed on the madrasa's "sublime character superior achievement". Improvement of the quality of the inputs is open registration line achievements with the selection, quality based online process by (1) fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure, (2) learning system by leveraging technology, (3) utilization of social media in the promotion, (4) the electoral activities of the student body with the online system, (5) the assignment by utilizing smartphone, (6) non academic activities directed to develop the interests and talents of students such as, field sports, computer skills, English and communications, (7) space applications, in cooperation with the teacher in the learning beyond the madrassa, and assessment with the online system.
