Abstract

This research is motivated by environmental damage in Gunungkidul and the lack of learning in Al-Qur’an Hadith environment-oriented in the Islamic elementary school, even though this learning has a strategic role in providing faith-based environmental care education. Therefore, it is very important for the learning of the Al-Qur'an Hadith with environmental insight at the basic level to provide awareness in the care of the environment for the preservation and balance of natural ecosystems. The purpose of this study was to find out the learning process of the Qur'anic Hadith with environmental insight at MIN 4 Gunungkidul and the process of developing ecological competence in learning. This research is a qualitative study that uses an ecological approach by taking the background of MIN 4 Gunungkidul. Data collection is done by conducting observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Checking the validity of the data is done by triangulating using different sources and methods. The results of the study indicate that: (1) preparation of learning plans by incorporating goals and indicators of environmentally sound learning in basic competencies. Learning material in the form of hygiene hadith, Q.S. al-Kautsar; favors natural environment, Q.S. at-Takasur; natural resource management, taqwa hadith; guarding the environment, Q.S. al-‘Alaq; the correlation of nature and human regeneration, and the charitable hadith is salutary; save water. The method used is the method of discussion, demonstration, assignment and lecture. The media used are used cardboard media, madrasa environmental media and picture media. Assessment uses observation assessment, product assessment, and assessment of tests (2) the development of ecological competence in the Qur'anic Hadith learning can be carried out by means of; first, sorting out material that can be integrated with environmental education. Second, apply the five phases of the Ecopedagogy-Problem Based Learning model.
