Abstract

The background of this research begins with the analysis of textbooks or student handbooks published by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, evidently, in the field, there are still shortcomings. Even though the textbooks or handbooks of students have a big contribution to the implementation of the learning process and become one of the determinants of learning outcomes. As well as being the main means and media that are effective in scientific cultivation. That's why this study has two big questions. 1. What are the problems with the student handbook? 2. What is the solution of the problem? From this second question, a new question arises about how the procedure to develop a product solution for the problem and at last does the product worth as students handbook? This research is development research with a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The method of data collection is done with in-depth interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data analysis using descriptive-qualitative research methods carried out by giving an interpretation of the data that has been collected, and from that interpretation concluded. The results of the study show(1) There are still problems with teaching materials in student handbooks. Location of these problems includes the feasibility of content, the feasibility of presentation, linguistic feasibility, and the feasibility of graphic. (2) Module product development procedures through define (Defining Phase), design (Design Phase), develope (Development Phase), disseminate (Distribution Stage). (3)The results of the feasibility of this BERVAKONTA module product, based on the validation of the material experts, get very well criteria with a validity level of 76.25%. Then based on media experts also got very good criteria with validity level 79.41%. Then from the teacher also gave a very good category with a validity level of 94.31%. While the results of the product trial validity level reached 76.84% and received a positive response from the respondents.
