Abstract

The background of this research is that it originated from the problem of intolerance which attacked the nation that was admired by its pluralism lately, which caused disturbed social interaction. Seeing these conditions, it is necessary to have a sustainable concrete solution to the situation. In this case, through the books of PAI (Islamic Education) which contain material about tolerance, caring for others, respect and love is expected to form the next generation of a pluralist nation . In connection with the reality in the ma s yarakat, textbook PAI Senior high school level in particular has an important role in calling on the diversity of the students. This research is a qualitative field research . The approach used in this study is the sociological approach to education. Data collection methods used are observation, documentation, and interviews. The subjects in this study were principals, teachers and students of Yogyakarta Senior High School 3. Then objek in this research is the implementation and implications of the educational value of pluralism to the behavior of students in Yogyakarta Senior high school 3. The results of the study show that there is a value of pluralism education in the PAI SMA Class XI Book 2013 Curriculum published by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Erlangga Plublisher. The value of education in pluralism includes: the value of peace, harmony, empathy, mutual respect, cooperation, friendship, care/egalitarianism and tolerance . The implementation of the value of pluralism education in Yogyakarta Senior high school 3 through some application namely: Implementation value education Pluralism in Vision and Mission School, Implementation value education Pluralism in PAI learning in Yogyakarta Senior high school 3, and Implementation value education Pluralism in activities religion at Yogyakarta Senior high school 3. Then the implication of pluralism education on the behavior of students in Yogyakarta Senior high school 3 is: students preserve 3s culture (smile, salam, greetings), Muslim and non- Muslim students visit friends who are sick or affected, students say a holiday to other students who are currently celebrating, non-Muslim students visit teacher's house when Idul fitri Celebration, mutual respect and respect when students are performing religious rituals, non-Muslim students respect Muslim fasting students, Muslim and non-Muslim students carry out interfaith dialogue, all students become their clerks in Islamic activities (PIF ) despite different religions.
