Abstract

The existence of a smartphone and the internet at this time makes it easy for all people in a variety of activities. Especially in business circles, this makes it very easy for promotional activities. By marketing their goods online. Online promotional activities can be via the web and also social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This research focuses on Instagram social networks which are widely used by the public to carry out promotional activities in promoting their products. One of them is what has been done by the manager of the Goa Pindul Gunungkidul wista object by using the @goapindulofficial Instagram account to promote the tour.This study discusses how the Instagram account @goapindulofficial conducts promotional activities. This research uses promotion mix theory such as public relations, advertising, personal selling and sales promotion. The research method used in this study is to use descriptive qualitative.The Instagram account @goapindulofficial is very good in using Instagram as a promotional media. Where the account carries out promotional activities using features on Instagram such as uploading photos, followers, comments, likes, geotaging, hashtags and captions that are associated with promotional mix elements, so that promotional activities are well implemented.
