Abstract

This research aims to find out how persuasive communication model conducted by owner and management (sanggar’s coach) of Sanggar Dance and Art Setyo Langen Budoyo to members of sanggar in preserving culture. This is because recent years Sanggar Dance and Art Setyo Langen Budoyo did not increase or even significant to join and attend in an event as a form of cultural preservation. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The source data obtained from in-depth inteviews, observation and documentation, while to test the validity of data using the source triangulation method. The result of this research indicates that owner and management (sanggar’s coach) of Sanggar Dance and Art Setyo Langen Budoyo use The Elaboration Likehood Model of Persuasion in preserving culture. For that model, there are two ways to apply it. There are central route and peripheral route. As a executor, Sanggar’s coach follow the process and steps based on route that used while persuading members of sanggar. So, persuasive communication model can produce an output according to expectations.
