Abstract

In the study of educative punishment in fostering disciplinary culture in Ma'had al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The background is that giving penalties to students with early adult development is not easy because in this period students already have a greater opportunity to explore values and lifestyles, and enjoy freedom. Punishment is a method used by an educator to discipline mahasantri. Discipline which means obedience (obedience) to regulations, rules and so forth is something that we cannot separate from everyday life. Discipline, especially in the scope of education, will facilitate the smooth running of all activities and is the key to achieving success. This research has the following problem formulation: 1) What are the forms of educative punishment in developing the culture of mahasantri disciplines in Ma'had al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung ?, 2) What is the impact of the application of educative punishment in fostering Ma'had disciplinary culture al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung? The objectives to be achieved: 1) To adjust the forms of educative punishment in the cultivation of Mahasantri student disciplinary culture Ma'had al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung, 2) To find out the impact in the application of educative punishment in the guidance of Ma'had student disciplinary culture Al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung. This type of thesis research is a qualitative or field study that explains the data results in words. The method used in this study is direct observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis method uses the Psychology of Islamic Education approach, by performing data reduction, data presentation, and drawing data conclusions. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation and triangulation techniques. The results of the data, concluded that: 1) The forms of punishment in Ma'had al-Jami'ah that is educative / educating with several stages of punishment namely notification, warning, reprimand and punishment, 2) Punishment in Ma'had al -Jami'ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung has a positive impact on the punishment of mahasantri to be better, study hard, and always follow the implementation of learning programs in the hostel.
