Abstract

Cigarette is a product of consumption that is a debate where it contains hazardous materials and has been listed the danger of smoking in every cigarette packaging, but still many people smoke especially among teenagers and among students.This research aims to excavate the perception of students on the smoking hazard alert in cigarette packaging.Perception is the act of compiling, recognizing, and interpreting sensory information to provide an overview and understanding of the environment.The stages of perception formation are Stimullation, Organization, Intepretation and Evaluation, Memory and Recall.In this study using qualitative descriptive research methods with data retrieval through in-depth interviews to students.The results of this study show that students know of the danger of smoking and understand the warning that there is not in accordance with the actual circumstances, precisely what is perceived is the benefit of smoking that can be a cure when feeling so late.
