Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of circulation services in DPK Kulon Progo Regency using the LIBQUAL method. Research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study was focused on registered members in Kulon Progo Regency, with a total population of 19,055 and a sample of 99 respondents. The sampling technique uses accidental sample technique. Primary data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire or questionnaire and secondary data collection using interviews, documentation, and observation. Validity and reliability tests use product moment and Cronbach alpha. Analysis of the data used is the formula mean and grand mean. The results of the calculation of each subvariable are the ability and attitudes of librarians in serving the library users get a score of 3.34 with a very good category, the facility subvariable and the atmosphere of the room get a score of 3.15 good categories, the guidance subvariable and the means of access get a value of 3.15 good category, the information access subvariable gets a value of 3.15 categories well. Calculation of the average value of sub-variable ability and attitude of librarians in serving, the indicator that gets the highest score is the understanding of the needs and desires of users with a value of 3.51 good category, while the lowest value is obtained by an indicator of willingness to help library and hospitality difficulties in serving visitors with the same value which is 3.25 good categories. Calculation of the average value of sub-variable facilities and the atmosphere of the room, the indicator that gets the highest score is the physical condition of the building, equipment, and equipment that is quite adequate and functioning well with a value of 3.32 very good category, while the indicator that gets the lowest value is the quietness of the library room with a value 3.03 good category. Calculation of the average value of sub-variable instructions and means of access, the indicator that gets the highest value is the arrangement of library collections in circulation services makes it easy for me to process information retrieval with a value of 3.33 good categories, while the indicator with the lowest value is my ease in searching information on services circulation and my ability to use facilities in the circulation service in searching for information gets the same value which is 3.03 good categories. Calculation of the average value of information access subvariables, the indicator that gets the highest score is the ease of access to find relevant and accurate information through a catalog in circulation services with a value of 3.35 very good categories, while the indicator with the lowest value is the availability of collections that are in accordance with the needs of the visitors getting 2.95 good category. Based on the calculation of the grand mean, the interpretation of 4 (four) sub-variables gets a value of 3.20 in the good category.
