Abstract
Tobacco is a crop that is processed from plant leaves which is an annual agricultural product that is not a food commodity, but is a product of the plantation sector. The study aims to determine the effect of the number of workers, land area, number of seeds, capital, the selling price of tobacco, the number of plants, and the age of plants on the production of tobacco commodities in Ngemplak Village, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province. This research is a primary study using the cross section data in 2019. The method used in this study is Ordinary Least Square (OLS) assisted by Eviews 10. The results of this study indicate that the independent variable is able to influence tobacco production by 78%. The F-test shows that the independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable together, while the results of the t-test show that the area of land, the number of seeds, capital, the selling price of tobacco, and the number of plants have a positive and significant effect on tobacco production. Whereas the number of workers and the age of plants do not have an influence on tobacco production in Ngemplak Village in 2019.
