Al-Qur’an is not only a sacred text which is merely possessed, glorified, recited, and proud of by every Muslims. But it also consists of scientific values that can be transformed into scientific theory. Therefore, the Kuntowijoyo’s “Pengilmuan Islam� method is expected to be able to realize this function. By realizing this function, we hope that Moslem society will have capabilities to carry out their caliph duties, which are to disperse the benefits and be ready to face the world challenges by providing religious and scientific knowledge.
